During the Destination D23 event at Walt Disney World, Walt Disney Imagineering announced the World of Frozen will open in Disneyland Paris in the spring of 2026!
We learned at last year’s D23: The Ultimate Fan Event that World of Frozen was being added as part of the official transformation of Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World, and now we know an approximate timeframe for when it will open. This highly anticipated expansion will transport guests into the kingdom of Arendelle, offering an immersive land inspired by the hit films.
In the new land, guests will be able to journey to the kingdom of Arendelle. In the concept art shared a year ago, you can see the North Mountain and colorful facades coming into view.

One of the most significant updates so far is the completion of Elsa’s Ice Palace, a centerpiece of the new area that captures the movie’s magical look in stunning detail. Rising above the land, the palace serves as both a visual icon and a symbol of the park’s transformation into something entirely new. Disney shared a video with a new look, and you can see some of the adorable rooftops of the buildings in Arendelle!
When World of Frozen opens, it will mark more than the debut of a single themed land. The expansion will also signal the official transformation of Walt Disney Studios Park into Disney Adventure World. This reimagined park will trade its original studio theme for richly detailed, story-driven lands based on some of Disney’s most beloved tales. Each area is designed to fully immerse guests in the settings, characters, and adventures that fans know and love from the big screen.
The addition of World of Frozen promises to be a highlight of Disney Adventure World. Guests will be able to step into Arendelle, see Elsa’s palace, and enjoy experiences that bring the stories of Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf to life in new ways.
The announcement of a spring 2026 opening date adds excitement for Disney fans planning future trips to Disneyland Paris. With construction moving forward and milestones like Elsa’s Ice Palace already in place, the park’s next chapter is taking shape, and it’s one filled with magic, adventure, and some of Disney’s most popular characters.
