Guests planning a stay at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas in early 2027 should be aware of an upcoming refurbishment affecting one of the resort’s most popular amenities. Walt Disney World has announced that the Luna Park Pool, the Luna Park Crazy Play Area, and Leaping Horse Libations pool bar will be closed for routine maintenance beginning January 11, 2027, with work expected to last through April 2027.

The Luna Park Pool is a centerpiece of Disney’s BoardWalk, known for its whimsical Coney Island-style theming and the iconic Keister Coaster waterslide. Its nearby children’s play area and pool bar are also favorite spots for families looking to relax during their stay. While the closures are necessary to perform maintenance and keep the facilities in top condition, guests should expect some impact to their poolside plans during the refurbishment period.
Disney has noted that guests staying at the resort may see and hear construction activity during daytime hours until the work is complete. Crews will be working to refresh the pool area and surrounding spaces to ensure everything is in excellent condition when it reopens for the spring and summer travel season.
While the main pool will be unavailable, guests will still have access to the two leisure pools located elsewhere at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas. These quiet pools offer a more relaxed swimming experience and will remain open throughout the refurbishment.

Guests with reservations during this timeframe are encouraged to plan accordingly and take advantage of the other recreational offerings available at the resort, including bike rentals, surrey bikes, arcade games, and the entertainment along Disney’s BoardWalk.
Once the work is finished, visitors can look forward to the reopening of the beloved pool experience, perfect for cooling off after a day in the parks. Do you remember when the giant clown was featured at the bottom of the waterslide in the feature pool?
