3 Kid-Friendly Disney Springs Spots Your Family Will Love

Hey, Disney dining friends! If you know me, you’ll already have a pretty good idea of my go-to spots when it comes to eating and snacking my way around Disney Springs. I’ve got my sit-down favorites like Summer House on the Lake and Frontera Cocina, and when it comes to snacks, you’ll usually find me heading straight for Gideon’s Bakehouse or Vivoli il Gelato. But there’s another side of Disney Springs that I don’t talk about nearly as much these days, especially now that my kids are all grown up.

Taking younger kids to Disney Springs is such a fun experience, and there are a few dining locations that go far beyond just the food. These are the spots that deliver the full package, where the atmosphere is just as exciting as what’s on the menu, and the experience becomes something your kids will be talking about long after the meal is over.

Rainforest Cafe

This one can be easy to overlook, especially if you remember a time when they seemed to be everywhere. But honestly, Rainforest Cafe is such a fun and immersive place to step into. Where else can you dine in the middle of a rainforest, surrounded by animals, thunderstorms, and glowing aquariums? It’s one of those experiences that feels a little nostalgic and completely unique at the same time, especially now that they’re not as common as they once were.

Planet Hollywood

For families with slightly older kids, Planet Hollywood is such a great choice. Even now, I still love visiting. There’s something about the music, the movie memorabilia, and the overall energy that makes it a fun place to connect. You’ll find yourselves chatting about favorite films, singing along to songs you didn’t expect to hear, and just enjoying the moment together. With the right crowd, the whole place can come alive with sing-alongs and a little bit of dancing. While I won’t be jumping up from the table, I’ll admit I’ve been known to fully commit to that key change in Livin’ on a Prayer once or twice!

T-Rex Cafe

If your kids are into dinosaurs, the T-Rex Cafe is always a hit. The theming here is incredible, with different areas that each have their own look, lighting, and prehistoric residents. It feels like you’re moving through different worlds as you dine, which makes it fun to visit more than once. Personally, I think this one edges out Rainforest Cafe just a little; it feels a bit newer, and the variety in the spaces really adds to the overall experience.

These are a few of my lesser-mentioned favorites when it comes to dining with kids at Disney Springs. The food is certainly good enough, but it’s really the atmosphere that makes them shine. They’re the kind of places that keep little eyes wide and curious, sparking conversations and shared moments that become just as memorable as anything else on your Disney itinerary.
