Gideon’s Bakehouse has introduced a brand-new dessert, and if you’ve ever tried anything from this Disney Springs favorite, you already know this is going to get attention fast.
The new Raspberry Chocolate Chip Tart made its debut Friday in celebration of National Chocolate Chip Day, and it’s just as over-the-top as you’d expect from Gideon’s. The tart features a rich chocolate fudge base layered with housemade raspberry jam, all wrapped inside one of their signature chocolate chip cookie crusts.
If that sounds like a lot, it is. And that’s kind of the point.
Gideon’s shared the announcement with its usual playful tone, joking that guests are “obligated by law” to grab one. But given how quickly their limited offerings tend to disappear, that might not be far off.
The tart is available now and will continue through the weekend at both Gideon’s Bakehouse locations, while supplies last. As with many of their specialty items, there is a purchase limit of two per person.
If you haven’t visited, Gideon’s Bakehouse has built quite the reputation for its massive cookies, rich desserts, and a vibe that feels completely different from anything else at Walt Disney World. New and limited-time menu items like this tend to draw long lines, especially when they’re only around for a short time, so be sure to allow plenty of time, especially if you’re visiting the Disney Springs location.
This particular dessert feels like a natural extension of what Gideon’s already does well. Chocolate-heavy, slightly indulgent, and balanced with just enough fruit to make you think you’re making a reasonable decision.
