Walt Disney World has officially updated its website to reflect the new transportation policy now in effect for guests traveling from Disney Springs to Disney Resort hotels. The change, which took effect on Saturday, June 28, 2026, requires guests to verify they have a qualifying reservation before boarding a Disney Resort hotel bus or boat from Disney Springs.
The updated information now appears on Disney’s Walt Disney World Bus Service webpage under the section titled “Traveling To and From a Disney Resort Hotel.”

According to Disney, bus service from Disney Springs to Disney Resort hotels is available only to guests who are staying at a Disney Resort hotel or those visiting with a valid dining or recreation reservation. Guests will be asked to present one of the following before boarding:
- A valid Disney Resort hotel room key or active resort reservation
- A confirmed dining reservation at a Disney Resort hotel
- A confirmed recreation or experience reservation, such as a specialty boat cruise
Disney has also confirmed that guests with a qualifying dining or recreation reservation may board the appropriate resort bus up to two hours before their scheduled reservation time.
The updated webpage further notes that bus service between Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs operates during Disney Springs operating hours and continues until one hour after Disney Springs closes.
The website update follows the rollout of the new verification process at Disney Springs, where Cast Members began checking reservations at the resort bus loop when the policy took effect. Barricades and designated checkpoints were also introduced to help manage guest access.

Guests visiting the theme parks are not affected by the new policy and can continue using Walt Disney World’s complimentary transportation system to travel to Disney Resort hotels as they have in the past.
