Disney is expanding its Airport Luggage Transfer service at Walt Disney World, and for the first time, a Moderate Resort is joining the lineup.
Beginning today, August 18, guests staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort can take advantage of the complimentary luggage service when flying out of Orlando International Airport on participating airlines.
The program allows eligible Disney Resort guests to check their bags at their hotel before heading to the airport. Disney then transports the luggage to Orlando International Airport (MCO), where it is transferred to the participating airline for the guest’s departing flight. That means no hauling checked bags through the airport or waiting to drop them off once you arrive.
For now, Airport Luggage Transfer is available only to guests flying with American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, or United Airlines.
Caribbean Beach is the first Moderate Resort to receive the service, expanding a program that has so far been available at Walt Disney World’s Value Resorts. The existing lineup includes:
- All-Star Movies Resort
- All-Star Music Resort
- All-Star Sports Resort
- Art of Animation Resort
- Pop Century Resort
Disney began testing the service at Pop Century in 2025 before expanding it to the additional Value Resorts. Disney previously offered a luggage service as part of Disney’s Magical Express, which allowed eligible guests to have their checked luggage transported between Orlando International Airport and their Disney Resort. Magical Express ended in January 2022. The current Airport Luggage Transfer program does not include passenger transportation to the airport, so guests still need to arrange their own ride.
Caribbean Beach is an interesting next addition considering its size and location. The resort is also the main hub for the Disney Skyliner, providing transportation to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

With a Moderate Resort now joining the program, we’ll be watching to see if Disney eventually expands Airport Luggage Transfer to even more resort hotels and participating airlines.
