If you’re a lover of all things Disneyland Resort like I am, you’re likely already familiar with Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio, right in the heart of the Downtown Disney District. It’s that perfect mix of sophisticated dining and a family-friendly atmosphere, with generous portions, plenty of personality, and, most importantly, the kind of meal that leaves you feeling like you’ve actually enjoyed the experience, not just filled your belly. After all these years, it’s still one of those places where I know I’m going to leave happy, and the refreshed menu is giving me even more reasons to pull up a chair.
The latest menu brings together those bold New Orleans-inspired flavors Jazz Kitchen does so well with fresh coastal touches. One dish that immediately caught my eye is the Deviled Crab Crusted Salmon, served with herb-roasted heirloom potatoes, grilled asparagus, and a citrus beurre blanc. Honestly, salmon, crispy crab topping, and that buttery citrus sauce? Sign me up.

Of course, we can’t talk about Jazz Kitchen without talking about the beignets. These are not an optional extra in my world. They’re the grand finale, the reason I convince myself I still have room after an entire meal, and the perfect little taste of New Orleans to finish things off. The restaurant’s famous beignets are still very much part of the experience, with classic powdered sugar versions alongside specialty glazed creations. And yes, I will absolutely be ordering them. Probably more than one serving.
So, right now I’m hungrier than ever and can’t wait to get back to Jazz Kitchen to try that new salmon dish. Add in some live jazz, that gorgeous coastal setting, and, of course, a probably unhealthy serving of never-too-many beignets, and I’d say we have ourselves a pretty perfect Downtown Disney dining stop.
