The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is celebrating its 30th anniversary now through November 21st! The festival includes over 200 unique menu items at nearly 30 Global Marketplaces plus the Eat to the Beat concert series featuring artists like Fitz and the Tantrums, Boyz II Men, The Beach Boys.
Since Food & Wine goes into the fall season, a lot of menu items are a little on the heavy side like soups, chilis, and braised beef. If you’re visiting the festival in September, you’ll find World Showcase to be quite warm during the day. Luckily, we found a great dish that is both filling and light enough to eat in the Orlando sun.

In the Japan pavilion, you’ll find a special festival menu of two new sushi-style hand rolls, a chicken bun, and cocktails with sake. One of the hand rolls, is a winner for sushi lovers!
Spicy Temaki Hand Roll – temaki hand roll with spicy tuna, cucumber, rice cracker, and spicy mayo sauce – $9

The hand roll is essentially a deconstructed, sushi burrito. There is plenty of spicy tuna and flavor from the spicy mayo. The cucumber is fresh and adds the right crunch plush the seaweed wrap holds it all together. If you eat this one by yourself, you’ll be full but not too weighted down to continue making your way around World Showcase.

If you like spicy tuna sushi, you will love the Spicy Temaki Hand Roll! Fresh, great flavor, and just the right amount of food.

There’s still time to book your Food & Wine Festival Disney vacation with discounted packages available and seasonal offerings like Halloween and the holidays!
