We now have a reopening date for Coral Reef Restaurant at EPCOT following its upcoming multi-month closure.
The longtime table-service restaurant inside The Seas with Nemo & Friends will temporarily close beginning September 8, 2026, for planned maintenance. Walt Disney World initially announced only that Coral Reef was expected to reopen sometime later in 2026, leaving guests with reservations and upcoming EPCOT visits wondering just how long the closure might last.
Disney’s operating information has now filled in that blank. Coral Reef Restaurant is scheduled to reopen November 4, 2026, with dinner hours currently listed from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Interestingly, Disney has not yet updated the refurbishment notice on the restaurant’s main webpage with the November reopening date. That page still states that Coral Reef will close September 8 and is “expected to reopen later in 2026.”
The closure will keep Coral Reef unavailable for nearly two months during a busy stretch at EPCOT, including much of the 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
Coral Reef Restaurant is best known for its enormous windows looking into the aquarium at The Seas pavilion, giving diners a view of sea turtles, sharks, rays, and plenty of other marine life while they eat. Sometimes, guests are lucky enough to see a diver inside the tank! The restaurant serves seafood and American dishes and is currently open for dinner.
As always, refurbishment schedules can change, but for now, guests planning an EPCOT visit this fall can mark November 4 as the expected return date for Coral Reef Restaurant.
