There’s a new little face to look for at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and she’s absolutely adorable!
Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment team shared some exciting news on Instagram today, announcing the birth of a baby girl zebra at the Walt Disney World Resort. The healthy foal was born to mom Aziza at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and she’s already getting acquainted with her surroundings on the resort’s Arusha savanna.
The photos Disney shared are just precious! One shows the little zebra standing close to her mom, while another captures the two snuggled up together. There’s also a sweet shot of the baby resting on the ground, showing off her tiny hooves, oversized ears, and those beautiful stripes.
Disney hasn’t shared the foal’s name just yet, but it’s wonderful to hear that she’s healthy and already exploring her new home.
One of the things that makes staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge so special is the opportunity to see animals roaming the resort’s savannas. Guests can watch zebras, giraffes, and other wildlife from designated viewing areas around the property, and some guest rooms even offer savanna views right from their balconies.
The Arusha savanna is one of the resort’s wildlife habitats, and now there’s an extra reason to spend a little time watching the animals during your visit. Of course, there’s no guarantee that you’ll spot the newest arrival, since the animals have plenty of room to roam.
I don’t know about you, but I’d have a hard time pulling myself away from the viewing areas if I knew there was a baby zebra out there!
