Don’t Trust AI to Plan Your Disney Parks Vacation

There are plenty of reasons people have concerns about the rise of AI, but since this is a Disney blog, I think there is one specific warning worth sharing: don’t trust AI to plan your Disney Parks vacation.

The biggest problem is that AI does not always have the most up-to-date information. Disney Parks are constantly changing, and that can make a huge difference when you’re trying to build an itinerary. A new attraction may have opened, an older attraction may have closed, park hours may have changed, or Disney may have completely changed the way something works. The list goes on.

Ask an AI chatbot to build you the “perfect” day at Magic Kingdom, and it can confidently give you an itinerary that sounds reasonable while including information that is completely outdated. You could end up planning your day around an attraction that no longer exists, using a strategy that Disney stopped offering months ago, or following advice that simply doesn’t apply anymore.

But outdated information isn’t the only problem. AI doesn’t actually understand your personal Disney preferences. It can take the information you give it and turn it into a generalized plan based on what it thinks someone with those preferences would enjoy. The problem is that Disney fans are rarely that simple.

For example, you might tell AI that you love thrill rides. It could then recommend Mission: SPACE because it considers it a thrilling attraction. But that’s a very different experience from Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind or The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. You might tell it that you don’t care about riding “kiddie rides,” but fail to mention that you absolutely make an exception for “it’s a small world.” Those little details can completely change what makes a Disney day enjoyable for you.

That’s the thing AI can’t account for. It doesn’t know your Disney.

A good Disney vacation isn’t just about checking the most popular attractions off a list. It’s knowing which rides you will happily skip, which ones you will ride five times, where you want to eat, when you need a break, which shows you don’t want to miss, and the little traditions that make the trip special.

So instead of handing your entire Disney vacation over to an AI chatbot, take the time to plan it yourself. Read current information, look at the latest park changes, and build a day around what you actually enjoy.

We don’t need to become so reliant on AI that we stop making decisions for ourselves, especially when it comes to something we love.

If you’d rather not sort through every park update, dining change, attraction strategy, and reservation rule on your own, that’s where an experienced Dreams Unlimited Travel agent can really help. A good agent can take the time to learn how your family likes to travel, answer questions as plans change, and help you build a Disney vacation around what actually matters to you, not just what looks good on a generic itinerary. Best of all, Dreams Unlimited Travel’s planning services are complimentary when you book your vacation through them.
