Hey there, Disneyland lovers! If you’re anything like me, you’ll take a little piece of Disney magic any way you can get it. Maybe that’s your favorite park’s music dancing through the hallways of your home, or perhaps it’s a visit to Downtown Disney with absolutely any excuse you can find. Well, today, my friends, I have the excuse you’ve been looking for, and even better, it’s completely free!
The Disneyland Resort has brought back the beloved Downtown Disney Movie Nights, and the fun kicks off tonight at the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage presented by Honda. On select nights throughout September and October, guests can settle in for a different Disney classic under the stars, with movie nights taking place on September 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th, followed by October 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th. And while Disney is being rather tight-lipped about the rest of the lineup, your first showing is all lined up and ready to roll.
First up, we’re watching the 2021 live-action Cruella starring Emma Stone, with the movie getting underway at 7 pm. I would definitely recommend grabbing some delicious food from one of the nearby quick-service spots and staking out your viewing spot nice and early. And if you need a little something sweet to enjoy during the movie, there’s no better excuse to try the latest monthly flavors at Salt & Straw! Best of all, this one is open to everyone. Whether you’re visiting the Disneyland Resort and looking for something fun to do outside the theme parks, or you’re an Anaheim local looking for a mid-week family activity, you’re welcome to join in. I absolutely love this Disney tradition because it gives us a chance to come together, enjoy some incredible storytelling, and celebrate the creative magic that Disney does so well. Sometimes you don’t need a theme park ticket to have a very Disney evening!
