Walt Disney World is kicking off Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month, and Puerto Rican superstar Luis Fonsi joined Disney to help begin this year’s celebration. From September 15 through October 15, 2026, guests will find music, entertainment, characters, merchandise, and other experiences throughout the resort as part of Disney’s Together We Are Magia celebration.

During a recent Walt Disney World visit, Fonsi stopped by EPCOT for ¡Celebración Encanto!, where he met Mirabel and Bruno and joined in the music and dancing with the Storytellers and Primos. He also managed to squeeze in two pretty important Disney priorities: riding his favorite attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and meeting his favorite Disney character, Mickey Mouse.
It’s an honor to be part of this celebration and to share all the magia that happens when we come together as one. As a Puerto Rican, I’m incredibly proud of my roots and of the opportunity to celebrate our culture with families from around the world.
Music Takes Center Stage at EPCOT

Several Hispanic and Latin American artists will take the stage during the Eat to the Beat Concert Series at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival throughout the celebration. Latin Ambition performs September 15–17, followed by Grupo Mania September 20–21 and Metro Latino Band September 22–24. Rey Ruiz takes the stage October 5–6, with Viva Latina performing October 9–11.
Over at Magic Kingdom, guests can spot several favorite characters during the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade, including Mirabel from Encanto, Miguel from Coco, Princess Elena of Avalor, José Carioca, and Panchito. Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels may also find Hispanic and Latin American-inspired storytelling, music, dance, and films included in select Movies Under the Stars experiences.

Disney is adding some shopping to the celebration as well with a new Disney and Pixar Coco merchandise collection inspired by family, music, and tradition. Among the new items are a Miguel mug, floral T-shirt, and colorful alebrije headband.

With Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month running for a full month, there should be plenty of opportunities to join the celebration, whether you’re headed to EPCOT for Food & Wine, spending the day at Magic Kingdom, or simply enjoying some time around your Disney Resort. And if Luis Fonsi can fit Cosmic Rewind into his schedule while he’s there, I’m taking that as confirmation that the rest of us should probably do the same.
