If you have ever boarded Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind hoping desperately for one particular song, Disney is taking the guesswork out of it for one very special day. On September 21, 2026, Earth, Wind & Fire’s September will play on every ride aboard the EPCOT attraction, turning the date mentioned in the iconic song into a full-day Cosmic Rewind celebration.
Normally, one of the fun parts of Cosmic Rewind is finding out which song you’ll get once your adventure begins. The attraction’s rotating soundtrack includes six possibilities, with September among them, but guests riding on September 21 won’t have to leave their song choice to chance. Every trip through space gets September. If you’ve been waiting for that particular soundtrack and somehow keep getting everything else, Monday is apparently your day.
Disney is adding a few other extras to make September 21 feel like an unofficial Guardians holiday at EPCOT. Star-Lord will be meeting guests, with appearance times available in My Disney Experience, and Connections Café and Eatery will have a special beverage available for one day only.
The Supernova Sip combines spicy hot honey syrup, lemon juice, and edible glitter, topped with orange cotton candy. There’s also a spirited version made with Maker’s Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon. I have several questions about spicy hot honey, lemon, glitter, AND cotton candy all sharing the same glass, but I’m willing to hear Disney out on this one.
Guests can also stop by Treasures of Xandar outside the Cosmic Rewind exit for Guardians of the Galaxy merchandise, although unlike the special drink, the shop isn’t exclusive to the September 21 celebration.
