Mickey Mouse is getting a rather unusual makeover in a new Disney home collection from Swedish designer Gustaf Westman, known for his colorful, chunky furniture and home accessories.
The first three pieces have been revealed from the upcoming Disney x Gustaf Westman collection, including two drinkware designs and a Mickey Mouse-inspired sofa.
Westman has gained quite a following for his playful, sculptural approach to everyday household items, featuring his rounded ceramic cups, plates, and furniture. His designs often feature bright colors, exaggerated shapes, and a retro feel.

For this collaboration, Westman took inspiration from Mickey Mouse and his friends, incorporating familiar character details into his signature designs. Rather than covering everything in character artwork, he uses recognizable features like Mickey’s ears, Minnie’s polka dots, Donald Duck’s bow tie, and classic Disney colors.
Westman visited Disneyland Paris ahead of designing the collection to gather inspiration — and again for the collection reveal:

Mickey Mouse Tumbler | Releasing Nov 15
The colorful ceramic tumbler features Mickey’s classic red, black, and yellow color scheme, complete with his round ears on the lid. The design takes inspiration from Westman’s popular Chunky Tumbler.

Mickey Mouse Cup
This black ceramic cup follows Westman’s signature rounded style and comes with a Mickey Mouse-shaped saucer.

Mickey Mouse Sofa
The largest (and perhaps most unusual) piece so far is a black leather sofa inspired by Mickey Mouse. With its exaggerated, rounded shape, the sofa looks like a piece of modern art straight out of a museum… or Mickey’s ToonTown home!

While Disney plans to reveal additional pieces from the collection at a later date, the following product previews can currently be seen on Westman’s website. Pricing and additional release details have not been shared yet.
