One of Disneyland‘s sweetest holiday traditions is coming back, and Disney has just shared the dates when guests can get their hands on those famous handmade candy canes!
Every holiday season, Disneyland’s oversized candy canes attract plenty of attention from guests who love watching these festive treats being made. They’re a longtime favorite, and getting one has become something of a holiday bucket-list experience for many Disneyland fans.
If you’re hoping to snag one this year, pay close attention to the schedule. The candy canes will only be available on select dates at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.
Disneyland Park Candy Cane Dates
At Disneyland Park, the candy canes will be available at Candy Palace & Candy Kitchen on Main Street, U.S.A., on the following dates:
- November 27 and 30
- December 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, and 25

Disney California Adventure Candy Cane Dates
Over at Disney California Adventure, guests can purchase the handmade candy canes at Trolley Treats on Buena Vista Street on these dates:
- November 28 and 29
- December 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, and 24
That gives guests 20 opportunities to purchase the candy canes between the two parks, beginning November 27 and continuing through Christmas Day.
How to Get a Disneyland Handmade Candy Cane
These aren’t your ordinary store-bought candy canes, and Disney knows just how popular they are!
According to the newly released schedule, wristbands will be distributed in person for a chance to purchase a candy cane. Supplies are limited, and there is a limit of one candy cane per person, per day.
Disney hasn’t specified wristband distribution times in the announcement, so guests hoping to purchase one should check with cast members at the participating candy shop when they arrive.
And remember, receiving a wristband is part of the process for a chance to purchase a candy cane, so availability isn’t guaranteed.
If you’re planning a Disneyland vacation during the holidays, this is one tradition that’s worth adding to your calendar. There’s something extra special about a treat that’s made by hand and only offered on a handful of days each year.
Will you be trying to get one of Disneyland’s famous candy canes this holiday season?
