Disney has made a change in an attempt to have “more sponsors purchase ad time across many of the company’s outlets.” The Walt Disney Company confirmed with Variety that they have named Rita Ferro as the President of Ad Sales of Disney ABC Television Group to oversee all ad-outreach . Rita Ferro had been responsible for The Walt Disney Company’s digital outlets and their children’s cable channels as well as Radio Disney. Disney says this move will help restructure the way the company sells ABC, ESPN, Freeform, and the rest of its cable networks to advertisers. Variety also stated that she will continue “to run ad outreach for Disney’s online, mobile and social properties.”
