The Chamber has confirmed that Minnie Mouse will receive the 2,627th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in a ceremony on January 22nd at 11:30am. The ceremony will be hosted by the Chamber’s President and CEO Leron Gubler and will feature appearances by Disney CEO Bob Iger and American Idol judge Katy Perry.

Minnie’s star will be at 6834 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the El Capitan Theatre.

According to Walk of Fame ceremony producer Ana Martinez, “Minnie Mouse is a woman of the ages and her iconic status makes her a great addition to our Walk of Fame! Generations of fans of all ages have been looking forward to her seeing her bright new star.”

Minnie joins Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Tinker Bell, Winnie the Pooh, Snow White, and Kermit the Frog as Disney characters with a star on the Walk of Fame. Mickey received his in 1978 in honor of his 50th birthday. In 2018, both Mickey and Minnie who made their debut in Steamboat Willie, will celebrate their 90th birthday.
