Magic Kingdom parking lot to be expanded over site of Walt Disney World Speedway

Walt Disney World announced back in February that their Speedway race track would be closing permanently for “transportation improvements.” After much speculation about what this meant, paperwork has finally been filed stating that the land would be used to expand the Magic Kingdom parking lot.

The Walt Disney World Speedway is currently home to the Richard Petty Driving Experience and the Exotic Driving Experience, both of which will be closing August 9.
