A Disney ABC source confirms the re-hiring; the developers were told by the Disney ABC TV Media Technology & Strategy development team that they had their jobs back.
One of the employees told Computer World, “They (Disney officials), want this to go away – right now.” The article says that workers are “skeptical” about why the layoffs have been reversed and aren’t sure if the contractor was canceled or if the IT operations are moving in a different direction.
All of the tech layoffs have been a hot button issue in the news right now, as Senator Bill Nelson says that Disney is abusing a government visa program that allows companies to bring in foreign workers when there is a shortage of American workers. He called for this to be investigated by the Department of Homeland Security. موقع مراهنات 365
