Some terribly sad news has been shared with the Disney community. Carla Jeffery, best known to Disney fans for playing Bree in the ZOMBIES franchise, died on September 1, 2026, at just 33 years old.
Jeffery’s longtime talent agency, Alexander’s Talent Management, announced her passing in a statement shared Tuesday. The agency had represented Jeffery since she was 12 years old and described watching her grow over more than two decades into a vibrant and talented woman.
“As Bree in Disney’s hit ZOMBIES franchise, Carla shared her joy, humor, and bright spirit with audiences around the world,” the agency wrote in its announcement. It added simply, “Carla was more than a client; she was family.”
The statement concluded by asking that the privacy of Jeffery’s family and loved ones be respected as they grieve. A cause of death has not been publicly disclosed.
Jeffery became a familiar face to Disney Channel audiences as Bree, Addison’s best friend and a cheerleader at Seabrook High. She appeared in the original ZOMBIES in 2018 and returned for ZOMBIES 2 and ZOMBIES 3. More recently, she continued the role by providing Bree’s voice in ZOMBIES: The Re-Animated Series.
Her Disney connections extended beyond ZOMBIES. Jeffery also appeared in Disney Channel series including Good Luck Charlie, Shake It Up!, and Best Friends Whenever. Her other television credits included Curb Your Enthusiasm, Southland, American Vandal, iCarly, and Game Shakers. She began acting at age 12 with a role in the 2006 film Phat Girlz.
For a generation of young Disney fans who grew up with Seabrook and the ZOMBIES movies, Jeffery will always be remembered as the funny, energetic, and loyal Bree.
