Halloween has officially arrived at the Disneyland Resort hotels, and this year brings some fun new details for Disney fans. First, the Disneyland Hotel has received a Haunted Mansion-inspired makeover. Meanwhile, Pixar Place Hotel has transformed its lobby with new Monsters, Inc. Halloween decorations.
As a result, guests can enjoy the Halloween atmosphere even before entering either theme park.
Disneyland Hotel Gets Haunted Mansion Decor
The Disneyland Hotel has added spooky new decorations inspired by the iconic Haunted Mansion attraction.
Most notably, the entrance features a large Haunted Mansion backdrop surrounded by fall flowers. In addition, the display includes four portraits inspired by the attraction’s famous Stretching Room.
Guests can spot Sally Slater, Alexander Nitrokoff, and the Quicksand Men among the portraits. Furthermore, gargoyle candelabra details and Haunted Mansion logos complete the display.
In addition, the hotel has added Haunted Mansion décor near the door leading toward the Disneyland Hotel pool area. This extra display gives guests another chance to spot the spooky theming as they walk between the hotel, pool and other resort areas.
The spooky theme continues into the hotel elevators. This time, each of the three main elevator doors features one of the famous Hitchhiking Ghosts: Phineas, Ezra, and Gus.
Therefore, the Disneyland Hotel offers plenty of Haunted Mansion details for guests to discover during Halloween Time.
Pixar Place Hotel Gets Monsters, Inc. Halloween Decor
Meanwhile, across the resort, Pixar Place Hotel has gone in a completely different direction.
Instead of ghosts and gargoyles, the hotel lobby now celebrates Monsters, Inc. with spooky Halloween decorations.
The main entrance features doors and windows inspired by the opening sequence of Monsters, Inc. Additionally, monsters appear with Halloween candy, while Boo hides among the decorations in her monster costume.
The spooky theme continues inside the lobby. For example, the elevator windows feature monster eyes, mouths and door designs.
In addition, the lower walls show monsters handing out candy and trick-or-treating from their doors.
Guests can also spot familiar characters, including Celia, George, Boo, Roz, Terri and Terry, dressed for Halloween.
Two Hotels, Two Halloween Styles
Overall, Disneyland Resort has created two very different Halloween experiences at its hotels.
The Disneyland Hotel leans into classic Haunted Mansion spooky fun with portraits, gargoyles and Hitchhiking Ghosts. On the other hand, Pixar Place Hotel takes a cute and playful approach with Monsters, Inc. characters, doors and monsters.
Best of all, guests can visit the hotel displays without entering the theme parks. Disney says Halloween décor appears throughout the Disneyland Resort hotels during the seasonal celebration, which runs through October 31, 2026.
