We already knew a beautiful new Coco Lantern Sipper was headed to Disneyland Resort for this year’s Día de los Muertos celebrations, but Disney just gave us a much better look at it in action, and this thing is the bee’s knees!
The new sipper officially goes on sale today, September 3, and Disney Eats shared a reel showing off something that wasn’t nearly as obvious when we first saw the promotional photos: the lantern moves to reveal different scenes inspired by Coco.

That little bit of movement completely changes it for me.
Rather than simply being a decorative lantern-shaped sipper with Coco artwork around the outside, the design lets you shift the panels and discover more of the artwork hidden within. Disney’s new video gives us a closer look at those changing views, and I’ve included it here so you can see just how pretty this one is.
The sipper arrives as Disneyland Resort continues its seasonal celebration of Día de los Muertos. Over at Disney California Adventure, Plaza de la Familia is taking place through November 2, 2026, with entertainment, décor, food, and other experiences inspired by the traditions of Día de los Muertos and Disney and Pixar’s Coco.
Disney calls the new collectible the Coco Lantern Sipper, and it’s available beginning September 3 while supplies last. There’s a limit of two per person, per transaction, and no discounts apply. Disneyland’s current menu lists it for $30.99, including a fountain beverage at the time of purchase.
You can find it at Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante and Ship to Shore Marketplace in Disneyland Park, as well as Paradise Garden Grill in Disney California Adventure Park. Disney has also indicated that the sipper will be sold at additional locations around Disneyland Resort.
We’ve seen plenty of Disney popcorn buckets and sippers over the years, but I love when there’s a little something extra to discover once you get one in your hands. Seeing those Coco scenes change as the lantern moves makes this one so much more special than the original still photos could show.
And now that we’ve seen it in action? Yeah, I get it. This one is GOOD.
