The brand new 270-acre, 50-megawatt solar facility that was built near the Magnolia and Palm golf courses at Walt Disney World went online earlier this year and a behind-the-scenes look has been shared in honor of Earth Day; take a look.
The new solar farm signifies the greatest effort in solar energy to date for Disney’s global theme park operations as it “provides enough renewable clean energy to operate two of Disney’s four theme parks.” If you happen to be driving on State Road 429, you might just catch a glimpse on your way by!
