Film shot in secret at the Magic Kingdom – “The Further Adventures of Walt’s Frozen Head”

A graduate student at University of Central Florida is working on a film that he secretly shot at Walt Disney World. “The Further Adventures of Walt’s Frozen Head” is the project of Benjamin Lancaster and revolves around the urban legend that Walt Disney’s head was cryogenically frozen and is hidden below the Magic Kingdom.

In the film, Walt’s head “is thawed out every year to give guidance to his company.” Lancaster shot at the theme parks for four days and said that other than a cast member recognizing Daniel Cooksley, the main actor, he didn’t encounter any problems in filming at the parks.

Lancaster says of the film, “There are jokes about price increases. Ultimately, the biggest impression is that his dream has continued on without him. That’s the overarching message. It comes from a true place of fandom.”

Lancaster used 25 of his fellow students as a production crew, along with a few students from Valencia College and Full Sail University. The special-effect shots of Disney’s head are yet to be filmed; Lancaster is looking for an actor to play Walt. The film was shot for less than $20,000 and will be released in 2017.

So, it should come as no surprise that one of her family's favorite ways to spend time is going to Walt Disney World and traveling on Disney Cruise Line. She also enjoys shopping, watching movies with her husband and doing crafts with and for her kids.
