Disney’s Hollywood Studios Reviews Virtual Queue Procedures for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Disney’s Hollywood Studios continues to tweak the procedure that guests need to follow in order to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the newest attraction in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, so the Disney Parks Blog is reviewing the details so that guests will know what to expect when they arrive at the park.

While guests may be allowed into some areas of the park before actual park open, virtual queues (or boarding groups) will not be available until published park opening. Guests waiting inside the park may be able to grab a coffee at Trolley Car Cafe or check out the merchandise at Keystone Clothiers while they wait.

At official park open, guests should log onto the My Disney Experience app to join the virtual queue and receive their boarding group number.

Some days, the residents of Batuu are able to get through all of the initially planned boarding groups, so backup boarding groups are also being distributed. Guests with a BACKUP boarding pass will be notified through the My Disney Experience app. Those guests may not be accommodated.

Guests waiting for their boarding group are free to experience other areas of Hollywood Studios, or even other areas of Walt Disney World. The Disney Parks Blog has some suggestions of things to do while you wait:
