There’s something uniquely magical about the sounds of the holiday season at Disney’s parks. As you walk down Main Street U.S.A., hot cocoa in hand, the soft background music filled with festive tunes becomes the soundtrack for making fond memories. From the familiar Jingle Bells to the gentle strains of a Disney-fied Silent Night, these melodies evoke a wave of warmth and nostalgia.
Listening to Disney music is one of the easiest ways to bring the magic of one of our favorite places to our home (or workplace!). The carefully-curated background music loops which play throughout the lands of Walt Disney World can effortlessly play in the background of our daily life. They serve soft reminders of cozy theme park memories… and leave us wondering “when is our next WDW vacation again?”
Here are five of my favorite holiday BGM (background music) loops — you may have to click through and watch these on YouTube if you see an error message in the preview. Happy listening!
Disneyland Main Street Christmas Loop
Let’s start where it all began — Disneyland. This track has been remastered from an original stereo recording, the low fidelity adds to the charm. I’m craving some hot cocoa and a bowl of soup from Jolly Holiday something fierce!
Music & Ambience – Christmas on Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom
Naturally, let’s hop across the country to take in the sight of Cinderella Castle when she used to sparkle the brightest… WE MISS YOU CASTLE DREAM LIGHTS. On top of the classic Christmas tracks, this video doubles as some beautiful ambience for your visual needs. I seriously can’t get enough of this view.
Echo Lake Holiday Background Music
When it comes to overall holiday decoration and Christmas vibes, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is my favorite WDW theme park. As you listen to this background loop, imagine looking across Echo Lake at Santa Gertie set amongst the kitschy silver tinsel and oversized vintage tchotchkes. Do you have any Hollywood Studios holiday traditions?
Sunset Boulevard Holiday Background Loop
Staying within Disney’s Hollywood Studios, let’s hop over to Sunset Boulevard, where we celebrate the Hollywood that never was, and always will be — but it’s the holiday version. I mean, the loop starts off with 77 Santas and later includes I Want A Hippopotamus for Christmas from young Gayla Peevy, how can you go wrong?
Disney’s Polynesian Christmas Music Loop
Played throughout the monorail station, lobby, and dining areas of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, this tropical loop with a Christmas twist sounds like the ultimate vacation.

Theme Park Correspondent for The DIS | Chloé loves kitschy dark rides, roller coasters, a good background area music loop, hot Butterbeer, and all things Halloween. You’ll mostly find her wandering around Orlando’s biggest theme parks snapping pics and sharing tips… or probably talking about The Great Movie Ride.
