Vintage Disney Shopping: Chloé’s Treasure Thursday

Hey howdy hey, and welcome back to another carefully curated collection of vintage Disney treasures! This time, we’re lighting up the night with a sparkling stroll down memory lane, parade-style. In light of Magic Kingdom‘s new Disney Starlight parade, I felt it was an appropriate theme. From the glowing whimsy of SpectroMagic to the iconic twinkling charm of the Main Street Electrical Parade, we’re diving into a dazzling array of souvenirs that once lit up park bags and collector shelves alike. So grab your light-up Mickey wand and find a curbside seat—this nostalgic parade of vintage finds is about to begin!

Did you know you could own an actual light from Disneyland‘s 1996 version of Main Street Electrical Parade? It’s true! These are most likely back-up lights they sold off as souvenirs, as they don’t appear to be “used”. There are a few listings for these boxed lights online, but this is the current best deal for a little orange one. I wonder which float it was meant for…

Or… how about a piece of SpectroMagic? Ugh, this one hits me right in the childhood. Shortly after SpectroMagic’s final night at Magic Kingdom, Disney released a limited series of “Piece of Disney History” pins with actual pieces of fabric and floats from the beloved nighttime processional. The Chernabog one is easily the most in-demand online, with most listings ranging from $100-150. This one without the backer card is a pretty good deal if you’re so inclined…

With MSEP’s more recent return to Disneyland, a whole new merch collection came with it. We’re peering back to Walt Disney World‘s run with this 90s graphic t-shirt… and what a treasure it is. Cinderella Castle, fireworks, and the Casey Jr. float. Check out those glittery puff-print details!

Available HERE | $58

Make your family car a piece of Disney parade history with vintage bumper stickers! This glittery one features Mickey and Minnie with the parade’s title float, and even a few “hidden” Mickeys!

Ending on a high note, quite literally, is this week’s featured relic item: the 1996 Elliot hat from Disneyland.

That’s all for now — I hope you enjoyed this week’s feature of nighttime parades! I’ll be glowing away now…
