If you’ve ever stood in a Disney shop thinking, “I love this… but I wish it had that lid or those colors,” Disneyland just fixed that problem, at least for reusable tumblers. And honestly? It might’ve created a new one.

Over at Disney’s Fantasia Shop inside the Disneyland Hotel, a new “Create Your Own” Starbucks tumbler station is turning heads – and draining wallets. The setup is simple but dangerously effective. You start by picking your base tumbler, with several Disneyland 70th-inspired designs to choose from. Think shimmering gold, soft pink, and that bold teal with castle artwork and retro Disneyland branding. Then you move on to the fun part: choosing your lid and straw.

The lids come in different colors with Mickey ear toppers, and the straws range from solid tones to striped and glittery options. Everything is right there, so you can mix and match until your heart’s content. This is such a fun way to build something useful that is uniquely yours. It also makes you pause and then immediately start mentally assembling multiple versions. At least, that’s what I did – over and over and over.

The tumblers are $59.99, and come with one straw and one lid, so you may need to think about it for a minute or two – that price doesn’t exactly make these an impulse buy. But being able to build them yourself makes a big difference. It feels less like something you grabbed off a shelf and more like something you actually put together. And the Disneyland 70th designs? That “I got this here” feeling is strong with these.

And then there are the mystery box straw toppers.
These are sold separately for $12.99, and yes, they’re exactly what you think they are. You don’t get to choose your design. Each box contains a surprise silicone topper, available in themes inspired by Disneyland and classic Disney icons. They’re cute. They’re collectible. They’re also the kind of thing where you might end up buying more than one just to get the design(s) you actually want. When you’re already spending this much, it’d be nice to just pick your favorite and move on instead of rolling the dice.

That said, this is one of those merch experiences that’s hard to walk past. It’s interactive. It’s colorful. And it taps right into that “just one more” mindset Disney always does so well.

If these make their way into the parks or expand beyond the Disneyland Hotel, don’t be surprised if they become the souvenir everyone suddenly needs.
