It’s a new year, and of course, Disney is already tempting collectors with a brand-new merchandise series. This time, it comes in the form of what appears to be a monthly collectible pin release. Whether Disney has scaled back production for these limited editions, each design capped at a very specific 2,250 units, or interest in pin trading has surged again following the buzz of the 25th Anniversary celebration, one thing is clear. These pins are disappearing almost as soon as they arrive. If you are a dedicated collector, I truly wish you the best of luck.
New pin releases typically hit the virtual shelves on Tuesdays, usually around 8 AM PT, and this week’s debut of the Brush of Magic series was gone in a blink. The first two pins in the collection sold out so quickly that many fans barely had a chance to see them before they were marked unavailable. It was a strong introduction for a series that is clearly resonating with collectors right out of the gate.
The Brush of Magic collection is especially charming, as it celebrates the artistry behind Disney animation. Each pin pairs a finished character design with its original artist rendering, paying tribute to the creative process that brings these beloved characters to life. While pin collecting has never been my main Disney focus, designs like these always catch my eye and deepen my appreciation for the amount of thought and craftsmanship packed into such small keepsakes.
To give you a better idea of why these pins are creating such a frenzy, here is a look at the first two designs in the Brush of Magic series that you may have already missed:

While there is no confirmed release schedule yet for the next additions to the Brush of Magic series, something tells me the first Tuesday of each month may be the date to quietly circle on your calendar. With an early alarm and a little luck, you might just catch the next designs before they vanish. If these first releases are any indication, this is shaping up to be a highly sought-after series, and one that Disney pin collectors will want to keep firmly on their radar as the year unfolds.
