A new ceramic Starbucks “Discovery” series mug has roared onto the scene at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. These mugs are currently available at Discovery Trading Company inside the park for $24.99, and online at DisneyStore.com. The latest Disney Parks x Starbucks mug series combines colorful illustrations of favorite attractions and animal friends from across the park. Let’s take a closer look!

The whimsical stickerbook-style design captures the spirit of Animal Kingdom with a playful mix of iconic imagery, including one attraction that will very soon go extinct.

Representing DINOSAUR, a Carnotaurus charges through the artwork alongside the recognizable Dino Institute logo. This nod feels particularly timely and sentimental, as the attraction will be closing in 2026 to make way for an Indiana Jones replacement. (Then again, the designers also included Muppet*Vision on the Hollywood Studios mug!)
Just under the Carno is one cute little baby Simba, reminiscent of Rafiki’s painting from The Lion King.
Expedition Everest is proudly represented by the jagged Himalayan mountain range and a stylized face of the legendary Yeti.

Floating mountains and a banshee evoke represent the alien beauty of Pandora – The World of Avatar.

True to the park’s mission of conservation and exploration, the mug is brimming with animal life. Colorful illustrations of a hippo, elephant, otter, meerkat, giraffe, and lions along with plenty of animal tracks and paw prints decorate the mug. A Kilimanjaro Safaris truck, safari hat and binoculars add a sense of adventure.

An Animal Kingdom pennant alongside the Tree of Life ties the whole mug together in a celebration of the park’s natural and mythical worlds.

The artwork leans into a fun, sticker-book aesthetic, and makes a perfect park-specific keepsake. In case the newly-released DINOSAUR merchandise isn’t your thing, or you’re wanting MORE Dino Institute representation, look no further! Whether you’re a collector, a fan of the Disney’s Animal Kingdom, this mug is a great souvenir option on your next trip; especially with the park on the brink of some big changes.
