New Disney x Bobby Kim Collection Celebrates Vintage Style

Hey, Disney friends! If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably spotted an old Disney t-shirt at a vintage market and immediately wished you could find something with that same perfectly worn-in look. Well, Disney is leaning into that nostalgia with a brand-new collaboration from Bobby Kim, and I have a feeling this limited collection is going to be a hit.

The Disney x Bobby Kim collection celebrates Kim’s lifelong love of vintage Disney apparel and his roots in streetwear culture. Rather than feeling like another character collection, these pieces take inspiration from classic Disney graphics and archive designs that have become highly collectible over the years. It’s a fun blend of old-school Disney magic with modern styling, and it feels refreshingly different from many of the apparel collections we’ve seen recently.

According to Disney, the first collection item will arrive on DisneyStore.com for a one-day event on August 17th at 8 am PT, followed by a second limited release of six additional T-shirts launching August 20th at 9:00 pm PT. Those extra designs will only be available from August 20th, 2026, at 9 pm PST through Sunday, August 23rd (if they last that long), so this isn’t one you’ll want to leave sitting in your cart while you think about it.

Fans attending D23 will get an even earlier look at the collaboration. Following the Disney Style panel on August 15th, guests will have the first opportunity to purchase the Sorcerer Mickey Long-Sleeve Shirt, a design inspired by one of Bobby Kim’s own favorite vintage Disney tees. Disney has also shared that the collection includes references to beloved characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto, all reimagined through Kim’s vintage-inspired creative lens.

I really like where Disney is heading with collaborations like this. Instead of chasing the loudest trend, this collection feels like it’s celebrating the history behind Disney merchandise and the fans who’ve been collecting it for decades. It’s like we are rediscovering the Disney details through the eyes of our fellow fans. If you’ve ever found yourself admiring a faded Disney tee that looked like it had a story to tell, this is one collection you’ll probably want to keep on your radar when it arrives later this month.
