While Christmas is a good seven months away, we have some jolly good news: The Elf on the Shelf is getting a Disney makeover! Reported by Parade, The Lumistella Company – the brand behind The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition – is partnering with Disney for a new holiday collection launching later this year, and it’s the first time the company has brought outside licensed characters into its Scout Elf product line.
The collection will feature items inspired by Mickey Mouse & Friends, Olaf from Frozen, Disney Princesses, and Spider-Man. These include outfits, props, accessories, kits, and carriers that let families work Disney characters into their existing elf traditions. Prices will range from $12.95 to $25.95.
Pre-sales kick off on Amazon in mid-July, with a September 15 launch on The Santa Store. The collection will roll out to Target, Walmart, CVS, and Michaels after that.
Lumistella co-CEO and co-founder Chanda Bell said the collaboration is about giving families more ways to make the tradition their own.
“This first-of-its-kind collaboration will help families celebrate the holidays with their elf being a fan of exactly what they are a fan of. So whether it’s a hanging Spider-Man-themed elf or a Disney Princess in training, these clothes, props, kits and carriers will fuel the fun of the tradition.”
Co-CEO and co-founder Christa Pitts said the idea wasn’t entirely out of nowhere, the company has watched families create DIY Disney-inspired elf setups and scenes for years, from homemade Mickey ears to Disney Parks vacation reveals. Mickey and Minnie were the natural starting point, Olaf was a perfect fit for the holidays, while Disney Princesses and Spider-Man made the cut based on their popularity with kids.

“Our goal was to collaborate with iconic, beloved brands and marry our fandoms in an authentic way. We wanted brands who, like us, dedicate themselves to creating joyful family moments.”
The company also hinted that additional Disney characters could be added to the line in future years.
