The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts has returned for 2026, running from January 16th through February 23rd, bringing a celebration of creativity back to EPCOT for just over five weeks.
The festival blends visual, culinary, and performing arts, with Disney artwork available for purchase, live painting demonstrations, and Broadway-caliber performances from Disney on Broadway stars. Food Studios around the park serve up artfully-inspired dishes and beverages that lean playful, colorful, and occasionally experimental, all designed exclusively for the festival.
While EPCOT hasn’t ever officially crowned him as a host, Figment from Journey Into Imagination is clearly the unofficial face of Festival of the Arts. The imaginative purple dragon dominates the event’s merchandise each year, and 2026 is no exception.
Festival-exclusive Figment items are available throughout the park, including Creations Shop, CommuniCore Hall, and outdoor festival marketplaces around World Showcase, making it nearly impossible to miss EPCOT’s most creative mascot once the festival is underway.

What do you think of this year’s Festival of the Arts merch? EPCOT’s youngest festival grows and grows each year. There are a few pieces I could see myself taking home this year, but, personally, I’d love to see more collection types in the future. This may be a hot take here, but using Figment on so much merch feels tired. Especially when his attraction is in such a sad state. Perhaps Disney could showcase a classic artist Mickey Mouse collection? Kermit and Miss Piggy finding the Rainbow Connection? They could also use this creative little festival to start featuring some really colorful modern and retro designs, too. Remember when Mickey and Figment could be seen holding a paintbrush near the old EPCOT Center logo?
