If you’re a pressed penny collector or a Muppets fan, you’ll want to find this new machine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Tied to the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets retheme featuring the Electric Mayhem band, which opened on May 26, a new collection of eight pressed pennies is now available on Sunset Boulevard. You can pick up a single penny for $1 or grab the full set of eight for $5!

The machine is fully-automated with no cranking or coins required. Just swipe or tap your credit card, choose if you’d like one or the full set, and it will start dispensing!

Each elongated copper coin features the “Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster” logo at the top and The Muppets logo near the bottom, with a different character taking center stage in between. The full lineup covers all the Electric Mayhem members: Dr. Teeth, Floyd, Janice, Zoot, Animal, and Lips, plus Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. These are the same Muppet characters featured on the attraction’s updated poster.

The designs show each character in performance poses that fit the attraction’s live concert aesthetic, complete with instruments and plenty of rock star energy.

Unlike the previous “Under Construction” pressed pennies that were previously found inside the G-Force Records courtyard, this new pressed penny machine is located behind the Hollywood Junction building at the beginning of Sunset Boulevard, so it’s easy to miss if you’re not looking for it. The machine itself is themed to a black instrument/travel trunk, which fits the coaster’s theme. Keep an eye out, this may eventually move over to the attraction’s courtyard.

Pressed pennies are some of the most-kept classic souvenirs from a Disney trip. How do you keep or display them? Will you be picking up this new Muppets set?
