Disney is revving things up for May the 4th with a brand-new merchandise drop that leans hard into one of The Phantom Menace’s most memorable moments: podracing. If you’ve ever wanted to channel Anakin Skywalker’s Boonta Eve Classic victory, this collection is clearly made for you.
The lineup combines bold racing graphics with a slightly vintage, moto-inspired style. The Boonta Eve Classic Retro Moto T-shirt puts the Mos Espa Grand Arena front and center with stylized artwork that looks like it was pulled right out of a sci-fi racing poster. It’s loud, nostalgic, and very on-brand for Star Wars fans who like their merch with a little edge.

If you’re more into the Rebel Alliance than podracer, the X-Wing Starfighter pullover sweatshirt has embroidered details on both the front and back. It still fits the retro racing theme, just with a bit less chaos.

The standout piece of the new collection might be the Retro Moto zip jacket. It has embroidered jacquard patches, insignias, and Star Wars references everywhere. “Mos Espa Grand Arena” branding, racing-style graphics, and even a bold “Skywalker” across the back make it feel like something you’d pick up near the race tracks in a galaxy far, far away.

One important note: this collection was originally expected to drop online May 1 at DisneyStore.com, but those plans have changed. Right now, Disney says the Podracing Collection will be available at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort instead, with no online release confirmed.
That puts a little more pressure on fans who want these pieces, especially with May the 4th right around the corner. If this collection hits shelves the way recent drops have, it probably won’t sit there long.
Disney also teased that more Star Wars merchandise reveals are still on the way, so this likely isn’t the last stop before Star Wars Day.
