I don't know about you, but I love to get my hands on new accessories before a trip. Suitcases, backpacks, travel pillows, sleep masks, toiletry bottles - there's just so much out there! It always makes counting down the days to my next vacation even more exciting. Thanks to the new TAG (Travel-Accessories-Gear) collection landing at the Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs, you can now travel in true Mickey fashion with pixie dust embellished goodies perfect for the busy traveler.
I recently visited the TAG boutique to check out the everyday and travel accessories the line has to offer. What a fabulous store! Disney really worked hard to theme the area to match this collection. Upon entering, you'll find a fantastic display of themed suitcases on an airport-style carousel. Other luggage and backpacks are nearby and adorned with familiar logos, colors, and graphics from your favorite franchises including traditional Disney as well as Star Wars and Marvel. Not even TSA would mess with a Darth Vader carry-on bag!
Undoubtedly, my favorite part of TAG is the accessories. Pillows, make up bags, curling iron covers, you name it, and there's a coordinating item waiting just for you. I adore bright colors, so these items really speak to me. I can't decide which I like better: the fun sleep masks and matching neck pillows or the toiletry bottles adorned with the silhouettes of Disney characters. Which is your favorite?
There's even an assortment of fun luggage tags (the store is called TAG after all)! You can never have one too many, and these come in a variety of shapes and sizes. I just love the tags designed to look like boarding passes to the Disney Parks!
Fleece blankets, tablet cases, journals, water bottles, collapsible cups, and even electric toothbrushes round out the collection in more subtle colors. Items can be found here for both adults and kids alike. Many of the items would not only serve as functional souvenirs, but also as unique gifts to bring back for someone at home.
While hunting for that "just right" object, be sure to take some time to admire the minor details within the shop. Retro travel posters and even mannequins of old-time flight attendants are scattered throughout. Here are a few things to check out:
- Snap a photo in the airplane seat outside of the changing rooms.
- Look for the classic “Mickey World” logo on displays and mannequins.
- There is an animated window display with airplane seats; look for a hidden Mickey Mouse silhouette in the clouds!
- The Departures and Arrivals board just above the register is full of iconic Disney-inspired destinations including Duckburg from Duck Tales and Tortuga from Pirates of the Caribbean.
As you can see, TAG is a fabulous addition to the Marketplace Co-Op. Be sure to stop by during your next visit to the ever-changing Disney Springs. It's definitely worth it. Happy shopping!
