I bought this adorable pumpkin Lug bag last year and I can hardly wait to dig it out of my Halloween box. While I was perusing through new Disney merchandise hitting the virtual shelves, I spotted a new bag charm from Baublebar that I am totally and completely obsessed with. I knew immediately I’d have to have it, then I saw the $68 price tag. Sixty-eight dollars. That is more than what I paid for the little crossbody bag! I’ll admit that I’m slightly obsessed with this whole bag charm trend we’re right in the middle of because it reminds me of those plastic charms I collected as a kid in the ’80s. You know the ones. Of course, those were just pennies back then. These brands know we’re dealing with adult money now.

Also, I hate paying for shipping, so….I was forced to add more items to it to avoid paying shipping costs. I know the gimmick, but it feels better to spend more on merch than postage; what can I say?
Anyway, back to the reason we’re here. LOOK AT THIS THING. The Mickey jack-o’-lantern is already the cutest thing in the world on its own, but then BaubleBar went and loaded it up with all those tiny Disney character charms dangling around the top. The jack-o’-lantern has its own bag charms!! Are you kidding me?! It’s colorful, completely over-the-top, and looks like it was practically made to hang from my orange Mickey pumpkin bag.
Do I think $68 is a completely reasonable amount of money to spend on a bag charm? Absolutely not. Did that stop me from ordering it? Apparently not. Sometimes Disney merchandise finds exactly the right combination of nostalgia and cuteness to destroy whatever sensible argument you were having with yourself five minutes earlier.
And now I’m impatiently waiting for this little beauty to arrive so I can put the whole pumpkin-on-pumpkin situation together for Halloween – after all, we’re already four days into September! I’ll have to show you what it looks like once it gets here because I’m pretty sure it’s going to be even cuter than I’m imagining.
In the meantime, somebody please tell me I’m not the only person who will spend more money avoiding a shipping charge than the shipping charge actually costs. I know how ridiculous it is. I do it anyway.
