Taking your baby along to Walt Disney World? Here are 5 great souvenirs to buy for your little one while you are there.
#1 – Baby Mickey Ears
It wouldn’t be a trip to Disney without sporting the quintessential Mickey Ears. Buy one for your little one in pink or blue or classic black at most of the Disney Parks or you can find all three in the Disney Springs’ World of Disney Store. If you have a little girl or a fan of Minnie, you might also consider buying these cute clip on ears.
#2 – Baby Plush Disney Characters
You’ll find these cute baby plush characters throughout all of Disney’s parks and at The World of Disney at Disney Springs. From Baby Princesses to Baby Simba to the classic Baby Mickey Mouse, these are a huggable and adorable souvenir to pick up for your little one. My little guy loves his Baby Dumbo!
As an added bonus you might consider selecting one of your child’s favorites and then doing a meet and greet with them holding it. Makes for some great pictures and memories!
#3 – First Visit Button
If this is your little one’s first visit to Disney World, be sure to pick up one of these buttons at the front of the park, at any guest relations location or even in the gift shops at the front. You can even personalize yours with your little one’s name or nickname depending on your comfort level. While there, we decided to put our little one’s age (as we saw recommended in a thread here on the Dis) to help curb some of those, “How old?” questions. Best part about these buttons is they are FREE!
#4 – Star Wars Onesie
Awaken the force in your little one (sorry couldn’t resist) with this super cool onesie. Along with lots of other Star Wars merchandise, you can usually find this one at Hollywood Studios in the Star Tours gift shop. I love that it has Yoda on the back being measured for rides. I have also seen these at the World of Disney Store at Disney Springs.
Meet and Greet at Magic Kingdom with Pooh and Friends
#5 – Photo From A Meet and Greet or Character Meal
One of the souvenirs I most enjoy from our trips to Disney are our photos from Meet and Greets with our little guy meeting one of the Disney characters for the first time. What’s great about photos is you can choose to purchase your photos from a PhotoPass photographer located at the Meet and Greet or Character Meal or have them take a photo with your own camera for free. Whether your child is all smiles or shows some tears, these photos are some of the best mementos you can take home from a trip to Disney World. Like they say, a picture is truly worth a thousand words.
Of course, there are many other options to buy for your little ones; here are a few others that didn’t make my Top 5 but are worth mentioning:
Mickey/Minnie Pacifier Clip
If your little one uses a pacifier, you can keep track of it with these cute plush Mickey and Minnie pacifier clips. With all the busyness of Disney, these will make sure that the paci doesn’t end up on the ground. These can also be found throughout the Disney Parks or in the World of Disney Store at Disney Springs.
Baby’s First Christmas Ornament
If you’re baby has yet to experience their first Christmas, look for a Baby’s First Christmas ornament while you are there. You can often find these Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe at Magic Kingdom or the Disney Days of Christmas shop at Disney Springs which are open year round.
Mickey Plush Rattles
These rattles are a cute classic toy that I saw throughout the Disney Park’s gift shops. Could be nice as a gift or a fun way to keep your little one occupied in lines or while waiting for a parade.
Buzz Lightyear Bodysuit
If you or your little ones are big Pixar fans or fans of Toy Story, many of the shops sell these bodysuits. These would be fun to wear to the meet and greet with Woody and Buzz at Pixar Place at Hollywood Studios.
Note: You can double check for the merchandise mentioned above by using the new Disney Parks Merchandise App- “Shop Disney Parks”. It has a search feature that allows you to search for all merchandise throughout the parks and even gives you the location of where it is sold near you while in the parks.
