Hey howdy hey, and welcome to another feature of vintage finds! This past 15th of February marked a significant anniversary for one of Disney’s classic princesses — Cinderella. Cinderella was one of Disney’s biggest box office hits that helped save the studio from their misfortunes of the 1940s due to World War II, which was almost the end of the company.
Cinderella was one Disney classic that always stuck with this 90s kid. I watched it much too often, and the mice’s “Cinderelly” was one of my first memorized songs. From an early age, I fell in love with the romantic and whimsical feel. Mary Blair provided artworks for the film using a dreamy color palette and sweeping shapes.
As you can imagine, “So This is Love” also plays often on my Disney soundtrack playlist… and maybe, sometimes, coincidentally plays in my head whenever I discover a good vintage find. In honor of the 75th anniversary of Disney’s Cinderella, let’s see what sort of older goodies we can find!
If there’s one thing I can’t get enough of, it’s art. I love to frame old packaging, storybook illustrations, and even handkerchiefs. Here’s where our first item comes in: this Walt Disney Productions-era hanky features some [oversized] mice alongside Bruno and Lucifer, with the sweet star herself. The red and peachy hues are a fun take from the original color palette, giving this a very 1950s feel.

Next up for your artful consideration: this not-so little Golden Book featuring full and half-page illustrations. Besides framing favorite scenes, I also love to utilize oversized books like this as wrapping paper for gifts. It’s a unique birthday and Christmastime (or anytime!) touch for your fellow vintage Disney-loving friends!
Available HERE | $10.20
Here we are with even more wall art options! These 1950s wall plaques are a perfect fit for your Disney office, nursery, or bathroom theme! I just love the pastel hues here.
Available HERE | $18.95
Last up for today is this vintage ceramic figurine from the 1960s. Who doesn’t need another Disney tchotchke for their display shelf? Her hand-painted sparkles are a nice detail. There’s a few of these available online, but this one’s a decently low price, and her face looks less… derpy than others.
Available HERE | $9.99
I hope you enjoyed this week’s selection honoring one of our favorite OG princesses! Let me know if you’d like to see anything specific from my future digs through the trenches of eBay. ~ The End ~
