FuelRod Portable Phone Charger Information and Locations
Keep Your Electronics Charged While You're Touring Walt Disney World
Buying Your Portable Charging System
Guests can purchase the FuelRod portable phone charging system at kiosks located throughout Walt Disney World Resort for $30. The kiosks accept all major credit cards, are very user-friendly, and will dispense a kit that includes:
One fully charged portable battery
One 6'' USB to micro-USB cable (for most Android devices)
One Apple 30-pin to USB cable (for iPhone and iPad generations 1-4)
One Apple Lightning to USB cable (for iPhone generations 5+)
HOT TIP: You can purchase your FuelRod before arriving at Walt Disney World at most airports or by ordering them online for approximately $10 less!
Recharging Your Mobile Device
The FuelRod works like any other portable charging device; simply use the appropriate cable to connect your electronic device to the portable battery. You can continue to use your device while it charges on the go. When the portable batter is fully charged, it will provide up to 8 hours of talk time or up to 4 hours of mobile tablet use. Of course, this all depends on the age and condition of your electronic device.
Recharging or Replacing Your Battery
If your portable phone charger needs a charge (indicated by a red LED light), just:
Recharge it using a USB cable to plug into a computer or into an AC outlet through a USB charging port.
Swap it for a fully charged replacement at any portable phone charging system kiosk. Simply insert your used battery and take a fresh one with NO charge. You can swap batteries as often as you need to; anywhere you want (at Walt Disney World Resort and other locations around the world).
TIP: If you have an issue with the machine, i.e. the machine doesn't dispense a charged FuelRod once you've traded in yours, do not leave the kiosk. There is a phone number for customer service displayed on the kiosk and you need to call them and explain the issue. They will need the identification information from that kiosk so they can override the system.
