Every other summer my family vacations in Cape Cod. We stay in a small cabin near the beach. This little cabin has become our paradise. As children during the week-long vacation weren’t allowed to watch TV or play video games. All we had for entertainment was each other and the ocean. At the time, I had no understanding of why we couldn’t watch TV, but I’ve since realized how important it was to escape the reality of the world for a week and just get away from it all. Cape Cod remains an important place for me because of the memories and nostalgia that I have for that cabin, but this attachment usually takes time. You usually don’t latch onto something after visiting it once or twice.
Disney Cruise Line is different. After your first Disney cruise, you will be immediately hooked. The attachment I have towards Disney Cruise Line is like the connection I have towards the small cabin in Cape Cod, which was a connection that took my entire childhood to foster. Just like my Cape Cod vacations, Disney Cruise Line allows me to escape reality. I highly recommend not watching TV in your room or purchasing the internet package unless you need it for emergency purposes. Allow yourself to escape. On a daily basis, you likely stress over your job, your school, and every other problem that life throws at you, so take every minute of your vacation to just relax and get away from it all.
With an increasingly connected world, we find ourselves looking at our phones, tablets, and computers constantly. It has become such a crucial part of our daily lives that we now are bringing these devices with us on vacation. Whether you are visiting Cape Cod, the Florida Keys, the Disney theme parks, or any other place around the world we can’t let go of our devices. Disney Cruise Line is the perfect opportunity to do so.
Some guests like to use the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, which connects to their phone for free. This app outlines the daily schedule and allows you to message other family members on board. As enticing as this might sound I recommend using it as little as possible or not at all. Guests traveled on cruise ships successfully for years without the need to message each other via their phones, so why do we all feel so compelled to use it now?
I have a love and passion for all things Disney, but that is not what sets Disney Cruise Line apart of its competitors. You could argue that other cruise lines also allow you to escape the stresses of the real world, but I’d argue that Disney Cruise Line is the best at distracting you from momentarily thinking about any of these things. When other cruise lines disappoint you with bad service or bad food you are reminded of life’s imperfections. On Disney Cruise Line vacations the quality of the service is so incredible, the amenities are outstanding, the food is delicious, and the onboard entertainment is top-notch so during your entire cruise there are very few or zero instances when you are reminded of the real-world frustrations.
So, to answer the title of this article. Why a Disney Cruise will change the way you vacation? They will allow you to escape from reality and put down your phone. There are a million things to do on your Disney Cruise Line vacation, and you don’t need your devices to keep you entertained!
