Yesterday was an exciting day for Alaska Airlines, as the company launched a new Disneyland Resort-themed plane! The new aircraft “Mickey’s Toontown Express,” was joined by our very own Jackie Gailey, who was invited to come along for the inaugural flight from Seatle, Washington, to Orange County, California. Mickey and Minnie Mouse made appearances at the gate to greet guests before they boarded their flight on this newly re-designed Boeing 737-800. You can check out the whole adventure in the Disneyland highlight on our Instagram account!
For the unique design – which even includes Chip ‘n’ Dale on the boarding doors and winglets – it took artists more than 400 hours and 20 days to hand paint the brightly colored aircraft exterior from nose to tail.

Alaska Air InstagramSay hello to Mickey’s Toontown Express! We teamed up with @disneyland on our new specially-themed aircraft (the cutest in our fleet, if we do say so ourselves). Keep your eyes on the skies to see Mickey Mouse and pals flying to Mickey’s Toontown and beyond.
The plane’s exterior artwork is inspired by Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland park, a whimsical and newly reimagined, animated land where families can explore, play, discover and unwind together while enjoying interactive experiences, familiar favorites and the new attraction, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

Passengers on “Mickey’s Toontown Express” may also enjoy activity books and snack packs onboard with designs that feature Mickey Mouse and his pals, while supplies last.
