While Disneyland’s Dapper Dans are not currently making their way around the theme parks, they are still bringing their magic to guests in a whole new way from their homes via video! I’m so in love with how these amazingly talented cast members are still sharing the magic despite the chaos going on with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The image above shows the performers at Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort and if you’ve never heard them, grab a cup of coffee (or whatever your heart desires) and enjoy!
The Dapper Dans are such an iconic part of Main Street, U.S.A. at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. I have to say, I’ve never been able to keep walking when I’ve heard them – not that I’ve tried to either – they are truly not-to-be-missed. They are well worth stopping to listen to even if you’re a few minutes late for your FastPass+ selection or that Advance Dining Reservation! Not that I’m encouraging you to do that, but you get what I mean.
I was so excited yesterday when the Disney Parks Blog shared a video below of their beloved Dapper Dans coming together from their homes to bring us one of their all-time favorite songs – When You Wish Upon A Star. This is one of those times where I get the chills watching because it takes me back to one of my very favorite moments of my little nephew being completely enthralled with them in New Orleans Square years ago. Take a look and a listen!
Wasn’t that fantastic? I can’t believe how cool it is to see all of these amazing singers right here in one place. This whole “social distancing” business has been made much better by these folks!
To weigh in on which song you’d like to hear next, stop by the Disney Parks Blog post at the link above and cast your vote. The choices are Grim Grinning Ghosts, When I See an Elephant Fly, and Disney Medley.
