
“I am a [character encounter] like my father before me.” Disney teased a very special Star Wars character appearance via the @disneypark‘s Instagram on Friday morning. A dark-hooded Luke Skywalker approaches the Millennium Falcon in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, just before R2-D2 rolls up beside him. Luke’s darker wardrobe matches those featured in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and season two of The Mandalorian.
You know Disney loves to tease us! The Instagram caption reads “A Jedi… like his father before him”, with a follow-up comment stating an incoming transmission with more details is expected on Monday, February 10th. The accompanied hashtags for Disneyland and Season of the Force tell us this is a west coast-exclusive (for now?). We’ll keep you posted as soon as we hear Monday’s news!
Season of the Force is happening March 28th through May 11th, 2025 at Disneyland Park.
This is exciting news for Star Wars fans, as it seems Disney is finally willing to celebrate ALL trilogy characters within Galaxy’s Edge. We don’t need that locked timeline anymore. Give us Luke, Han, Leia, and Darth Vader! It’s giving me all the Stars Wars Weekends feels. Manifesting Han Solo and Leia next…
