The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are here and I couldn’t be more excited! There are certain things I look forward to each year and make sure that I don’t miss them.
Here are my 5 favorite things about the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort.
5. Peppermint Ice Cream
Ice cream is typically my favorite calorie splurge during a visit to Disneyland, and that is even more true during the Holidays. The peppermint ice cream served at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor is sweet and refreshing. It’s the perfect holiday treat.

4. Main Street Music Loop
There’s just something about eating an ice cream cone (see above) on Main Street, U.S.A. and listening to Christmas music that puts me in a festive mood.

3. “it’s a small world” holiday
From the twinkling lights outside to the cheerful music inside, “it’s a small world” holiday just makes me smile. See if you can catch Ariel singing along to “Jingle Shells.” That’s one of my favorite details about the holiday overlay.

2. ยกViva Navidad!
This energetic street party over at Disney California Adventure is not to be missed. Each year, local dancers and musicians join with The Three Caballeros to celebrate a Latin Christmas. Look for mariachi musicians from Mexico, samba dancers from Brazil, and much more. You’ll find yourself singing along during the finale.

1. A Christmas Fantasy Parade
Celebrating its 30th season, this parade is the thing I look forward to every year. The music, the beautiful floats, and the familiar characters all blend together to create something magical. We’ve seen updates over the years, some successful and others not (Duffy…I’m looking at you), but the heart of the parade remains. When Santa Claus looks right at me and says, “Merry Christmas” or asks me to join him in a rousing rendition of Jingle Bells, that’s one of the best presents ever.

These are my favorite things, but there is much more magic to discover as the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort continue through January 7th.
While we wait for the snow to fall, I’ll finish my ice cream.
