Yep – we all have it: that co-worker or friend who just doesn’t get it. They may begin politely asking you where you are going on your long weekend. But then they cut to the chase: “You’re going again?” they ask, or will say something like, “Let me guess-Disney!” Here are some responses to have in your back pocket the next time you get that question.
- “YES”. Own it. This person may have their mind made up that Disney isn’t for them. That’s fine, and you probably won’t be able to change their mind. Know that you are in good company with other Disney-philes. We’re all mad here.
This is my father, excited to leave. Me? Not so much.
- “Mmhmm- and you’re going to <insert lesser vacation destination here> again? “ This is the option for the most major snark. Yeah, no thanks- I can go to eleven countries in Epcot, see the beaches of the Magic Kingdom resorts and see three different mountain ranges (Splash, Thunder, Space)- and that’s all within the confines of the monorail loop.
From South Korea to Africa in a matter of minutes
- “I am, because <insert why YOU Disney> .“ This is my typical response depending on who asks the question. I tell them why I love Disney. Whether it be the world class dining, the customer service, the new attractions or the generally magical feel, don’t let anyone take away your Disney pride!
No shame in my happy place!
