McKim’s Mile House, the new Disney Vacation Club lounge located in Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland, opens today, March 18th. The lounge, which replaced the Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade, was originally announced last June, and later clarified to open “by summer 2025”.
This marks the first dedicated space for Disney Vacation Club members at Magic Kingdom, providing a convenient indoor break space exclusively for members to relax and refresh during their park day.
McKim’s offers comfortable seating, complimentary soft drinks via Coca-Cola Freestyle machines, Wi-Fi, and device chargers available on a first-come, first-served basis. Disney Vacation Club Member Services Advisors are also available onsite to assist with any membership-related needs.
Named after Sam McKim, the Disney Legend and concept artist behind the original Frontierland at Disneyland Park, the lounge was inspired by mile houses from the Gold Rush era. Inside, you’ll find hints of Frontierland lore sprinkled about, such as a boarding room that seems to belong to Barnabus T. Bullion (founder of the Big Thunder Mining Co., or Tony Baxter in disguise– you decide), along with an honorable mention of the legendary artist/animator Marc Davis with “M. Davis” on a doorway.

McKim’s Mile House is now open exclusively to Disney Vacation Members in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. Proof of membership is required for entry.
