Halloween is right around the corner, and D23 is helping Disney fans get into the spirit of the season with their new virtual costume contest, the D23 Halloween Mousequerade.
Beginning September 17th, fans can submit photos of their best original, Disney-themed costumes via D23.com. Participants must be a current D23 General, Gold, or Gold Family Member, and are encouraged to fully read the contest rules to ensure that their costumes meet the requirements.
A surprise panel of celebrity judges will be revealed in the days to come, and the grand prize is a $500 Disney gift card. The first runner up will win a Disney gift card for $250, and the second runner up will receive a Disney gift card for $100.
Contest participants can submit up to three photos, and the contest runs through October 1st. The theme is “All Things Disney,” so fans have ample room to stretch their creative Disney-loving muscles. According to D23, photos will be judged by costume craftsmanship, originality, costume quality, innovative use of materials, and relevance to the theme.
Halloween Mousequerade winners will be announced during a virtual D23 event on October 31st at 5 ET/2PT. The event will be streamed on D23.com, as well as D23’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
