A new short from Walt Disney Studios, Once Upon A Studio, will be released alongside the cinema release of Disney’s Wish film on November 22nd, 2023. Guests in the Annecy International Animation Film Festival audience were treated to a preview of the new short over the weekend, which is said to feature forty Disney voice actors, including Josh Gad and the late Robin Williams as the original Genie.
Frozen star Gad took to Instagram shortly after the reveal to share the news:
Now that it’s premiered at Annecy, I’m so excited to finally have the world see what @DisneyAnimation has created to celebrate the incredible 100 year legacy of the studio. I nearly cried when I was told Olaf would appear alongside the Genie, utilizing previously unheard audio from my idol #RobinWilliams
